Idlewild is an Outkast album released on August 22, 2006. It features songs from and inspired by Outkast's musical film Idlewild, released by Universal Pictures in August 2006, and also Outkast recordings not necessarily related to the film. In the U.S., the Idlewild album charted at #2 pop and #1 R&B, selling two million copies to date; in the UK Idlewild peaked at #16. The film itself, however, was relatively less successful.
