Let's TIP
Huge heel. Small platform. Lots of straps.
...Sounds painful doesn't it? Not when it comes to Korean shoe designer Raphael Young. As the winner of the “Best Shoe in Overall Design” category at the Independent Handbag and Shoe Awards Tuesday night, Young is getting a helping hand, courtesy of Foot Petals. The foot-comfort company is working with Young to make the inside of the shoes as comfortably as possible. This season Young focuses on "urbanising haute couture shoes" which in practice leads to rather cool shoes.
The resulting limited-edition heels will be available at Verve in New York City and footpetals.com later this year.
Random Fact: Raphael Young's uncle was a show designer for Yves Saint Laurent.
