Boigny: Dr. Drinks teaches a 3 color martini against Ivory Coast + Promotion

We pass through North Korea. There was even a struggle, but I confess I always expect much from the selection canary, even playing against an Asian team.

It is an indication that times have changed. Football has changed and today, unfortunately, is passing and running, no more dribbling handsome, mischievous touch heel. I can not remember how many years I do not see a bicycle goal, has anyone noticed?

But it all has a reason for being: the European teams working with high performance culture is much more science than art. As our best players will inevitably play in those parts, logically soon not see the difference between the Brazilian who played barefoot in the slum and a blonde with blue eyes who played in the neighborhood soccer field.

Football outbursts aside, some things still bring me a happiness almost childlike. One is to make drinks for my friends in the days of games. I enjoyed playing with the guys in the headquarters of PdH. It was a lively session of drinks. And another is to see our work recognized in this column.

One of the biggest awards came from our great partner in Camiseteria opportunity to invite us to launch a special series of shirts designed exclusively for the World Cup. For this to have more sense nothing better than to abuse the creativity and create drinks with the colors of the flags of Brazil's opponents. Thankfully, at least in Round 1 Brazil did not play with any country flag striped ...
Dr. Boigny's Drinks Recipe

As the flag of Ivory Coast has three colors, we need to drink a little better. To have a killer look, that would set a martini.

The great secret of this drink is to work with different densities of drinks with flavors that marry well with each other and have the colors green, white and orange. So I decided to mix the sour Appletini with a full-bodied texture of the cream and the acidity of grapefruit juice or grapefruit.

To make Boigny, you will need:

* Glass of martini
* Ice
* Cocktail
* Gin
* Green Apple Syrup
Triple sec *
* Cream of milk
* Grapefruit juice (also known as grapefruit)

Put ice in martini glass and let the freezing while preparing the first layer of the drink. For the first layer put ice in a shaker, add half an ounce (1 / 2 oz = 30ml) of gin, 10 ml of syrup with green apple and a quick launch of triple sec. Beat well, remove the ice from the bowl and serve strained. Is ready to drink the first layer.

For the second layer, pour the cream gently making a thin layer on the basis of the Appletini. Use a spoon with my back and go serving so the cream run down the edge of the bowl, taking care not to smudge the edge, but disrupts the third color.

Served in the cream, go to the third layer: serves gently grapefruit juice (grapefruit) on the cream to complete the bowl.

The look of this drink is extremely interesting because it has three colors of the flag of the Ivory Coast. The complexity of flavors and experience that provides the mix of textures in the mouth was something that caught my attention when he created it. For well you enjoy all of this is very important that the drink is taken correctly. The martini glass looks small, but it is a lot of drinking - most have between 120 and 180 mL, and how not to use ice in this cup, this is a considerable amount of liquid. Since we do not use ice, you can not take much to drink, then the correct way is to take a martini sipping it in great gulps, because that is what will cause the layers to mix the drink only in your mouth.

The result of that experience comes in the form of staff: "Sensational."

John F. Kennedy Inauguration

The Inspiring Words of  Kennedy
50 years ago, President John F. Kennedy was inaugurated, & the era of Camelot began. Find out about the challenge he gave to Americans on that day & more.
President John F. Kennedy's inauguration was 50 years ago today. His short inaugural address -- it's rumored to have been the shortest ever (how long?) -- inspired scores of Americans to enter politics, government or the Peace Corps, with its famous challenge to Americans near the conclusion:

 "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
 Historians regard it as among the nation's three or four finest inaugural addresses. We'll look back at those in this slide show, along with JFK's speech on that frigid day and the attendees of the inauguration.
Speechwriter Ted Sorensen
Ted Sorensen was Kennedy's longtime aide and a gifted speechwriter. Some scholars say the speech was a true collaboration between the two men, with Kennedy himself inserting many of the lines that have become famous.
 For example, Kennedy's clarion call to "let the world go forth" had been used in a speech he gave in 1956
Eisenhower & other presidents who attended
The inauguration, held outdoors in freezing weather (how cold?) was attended by six past and future presidents:
* Kennedy
* Dwight D. Eisenhower
* Harry Truman
* Lyndon B. Johnson
* Richard M. Nixon
* Gerald Ford, then a Republican congressman from Michigan
* A seventh, Herbert Hoover, had a seat reserved, but his flight was canceled for snow.
While some of these politicians have given great speeches, Kennedy's inaugural address is on par with three of the greatest, from Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Abraham Lincoln's inaugural address
Date: March 4, 1861
 The inaugural address of our 16th president is regarded as one of the best ever. On the eve of the Civil War, just after several Southern states had seceded from the Union, he said:
 "The mystic chords of memory, stretching from every battlefield and patriot grave to every living heart and hearthstone all over this broad land, will yet swell the chorus of the Union, when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.
Thomas Jefferson's inaugural address

Date: March 4, 1801
 The third president gave a memorable inauguration speech, too. One of the most famous quotes from it is this:
 "A wise and frugal government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement."
Franklin D. Roosevelt's famous speech
Date: March 4, 1933
 The country's 31st president's speech has gone down in history as one of the best. One of the most quoted lines is this:
 "… the only thing we have to fear is fear itself -- nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance."
Inaugurations always are attended by a who's who of the famous. Kennedy's was attended by iconic authors, his famous father and a poet.
Joseph P. Kennedy Sr.
The father of JFK, Joseph P. Kennedy, was in attendance. The prominent businessman also worked in politics. He held two major roles.
John Steinbeck
John Steinbeck, the iconic author of several classics, was there, too. He is the winner of both the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize for Literature.
James Michener
Prize-winning author James Michener was in attendance. He won the 1948 Pulitzer Prize for a series of short stories about World War II.
Henry Luce & Clare Boothe Luce
Clare Boothe Luce was a playwright, journalist, editor and socialite who also held political office.
 Her husband, Henry Luce, was the creator of several iconic publications, including Time, Life, Fortune and Sports Illustrated. Author Alan Brinkley wrote a biography about Luce, released in 2010.
Robert Frost
Poet Robert Frost was there. He won multiple Pulitzer Prizes for Poetry.

Political sex scandals

Sex & politics
Italy's Berlusconi was asked to quit recently. Find out why & discover other scandals.
A powerful foreign figure was just placed under investigation for sexual misconduct and here in the United States we’re having a bout of dirty deed déja-vu.News of US politicians’ dalliances is as old as the country itself, implicating elected officials on both the East Coast and the West. While some alleged affairs stayed within the realm of rumor, other scandals remained secrets for decades, and certain accusations rocked the highest halls.Here’s a list of some salacious political scandals that were too hot for headlines.
Mark Souder
Despite his stated beliefs, this eight-term Republican congressman ultimately admitted he and his female aide were having an extramarital affair. Amidst the fall-out, he took these steps.
Mark Sanford
Before there were allegations, there was a vanishing act. In the summer of 2009, the then-governor of this state couldn’t be found for days. When he surfaced, the truth was revealed: he was having an international tryst. Sanford remained in office after the scandal, but faced losses at home and at work.
Samuel B. Kent
This former federal judge was impeached by the House in June 2009 for sexually assaulting two female employees and then making matters even worse. He had served since his 1990 nomination by this president.
John Edwards
The former senator was exposed as an adulterer in 2007. Heightening the scandal was news of a love child. Edwards’ wife took action once the news broke, but she passed away before the two could divorce.
Eliot Spitzer
In 2008, a newspaper reported the then-New York governor had been caught in connection with a prostitution ring. Though Spitzer faced no charges, he did make this career move in the aftermath.
Tim Mahoney
Mahoney assumed the seat of a scandal-plagued politician and got into some trouble of his own. In 2008, reports alleged that he hired his mistress, and then paid her off. Mahoney himself took this action on the claims.
Kwame Kilpatrick
In 2008, while still the mayor of this Midwest city, Kilpatrick was caught exchanging inappropriate texts with a staffer with whom he was having an extramarital affair. Both were indicted on these charges.
Larry Craig

Brian J. Doyle
The former deputy press secretary for this government office was indicted in 2006 for seducing a teenage girl online. He was sentenced and registered as a sex offender.
Mark Foley
Foley resigned from his post in 2006, after news surfaced that he was sending explicit emails and instant messages to an off-limits recipient. Considering his pet project while in office, the scandal seemed even more shocking.
Jim McGreevey
In 2004, the former governor admitted to acts of homosexual adultery with a staff member. McGreevey held a press conference and made this announcement before saying he’d resign.
Gary Condit
When a young D.C. intern disappeared in 2001, the five-term congressman from this state was questioned. Though he initially denied it, Condit eventually confessed to having an affair with her. He passed a polygraph test saying he didn’t know her whereabouts.
Bill Clinton
