For all our NY readers, you guys might be interested in this sort of cool news. The designer of Boy by Band of Outsiders, Scott Sternberg will be on the sixth floor of Barneys (660 Madison Ave., at 61st St.) to help customers design their very own Boy blazers and place preorders from his spring 2010 collection. The blazer can be transformed with several different fabrics like classic navy blue, a black-and-white houndstooth, or a bolder red plaid. In addition to the base fabrication, the designer will come stocked with a variety of trims and buttons for ultimate personalization of each piece. The single-breasted, hand-tailored blazers are perfectly cut and would look dope for the whole season. The price tags are stupid ($1,400 to $1,850 depending on details), but it's the satisfaction of owning a one-of-a-kind piece. Or you could just stop by and chat it up with Sternberg.
