A Remedy For The Dope Kids

Even though there are so many up and coming artists out here now, it's not hard to spot one who deserves a feature on LLM. Benjamin Dotavious is one of those individuals whose music has potential to be a norm on the radio dials. I found this cat on twitter and checked out his music...one word - DOPE!

Benjamin (a.k.a. B [dot] Jay) is a rapper/producer, currently living in Chesapeake, VA. Like most of today's successful artists, he started his rapping career young...at the age of 8. He was known for his ability to make comical punchlines off the top of his head. When he moved to Memphis, Tennessee he started making beats, but that didn't last too long because "I sucked", he said. He eventually found his way back to Virgina and he decided that he wanted to create an album. He started talking to several producers but realized that without any money he wouldn't be getting too far. So he started making beats again and progressed into a well-known producer in VA Beach.

Now, B [dot] Jay is a freshmen in college at Virginia State University & is known for both rapping & producing. He describes his style as a "Remedy for the Dope Kids". While most "rappers" are rhyming about drugs, guns, and degrading women, he focuses on having fun & making his audience laugh. He is now working on his new mixtape "Diamonds, Dunks, & BackPacks" which is coming soon!!! Be on the look out!
